menu surprise is a new architectural practice that focuses on existing structures and interactive concepts. Founded during a time of multiple crises, menu surprise examines the interaction of the everyday with the newly established reality. These given circumstances serve as an opportunity to question ingrained habits – the value of crisis is accepted as a foundation for creating a reflective approach. menu surprise was co-founded by Jonas Hamberger, Jens Roll and Jonas Schergun. Based in Berlin and Bavaria, menu surprise works on projects of varying scales in spatial planning.
